"Do you think I should use an illusion?" Zanna asked, toying with the reins of her summoned mount, watching the land around them, even if the road was so much safer now.
"Stars and trees, no!" Niska said, firmly casting that idea to the side. "If those asinine fools have not gotten past themselves in all these years, they can damn well shove it for this. You were as much a part of the defense as any of their Riders or our Knights."
Zanna grinned. "I thought I was supposed to be learning diplomacy."
"Not with these idiots," Niska avowed.
