Grounded (Forgotten Realms, Drizzt Do'Urden&Kiera (OC))
Title: Grounded
Fandom: Forgotten Realms/Legend of Drizzt
Pairing/Characters: Drizzt Do'Urden & Kiera (OC)
Rating: General Audiences
Content Notes: None
Prompt: 3 & 4 Down to Earth
Kiera watched Drizzt lose his balance up ahead of them — and that was all she needed to know to levitate the rest of the party, barely ahead of the shock wave of a some earth-moving spell.
Nor did Drizzt stay down long, throwing faerie fire up ahead to outline the aberration they had been hunting so all of them could see.
Hoping that the thing couldn't rattle the ground again too quickly, Kiera set the patrol on their feet, and they went into the battle with all their hearts.
After, she checked on Drizzt, knowing it would wound their Lady and Catti-brie alike if he'd come to any harm.
"Not used to you being caught off guard," she noted.
"I suppose something has to keep me grounded," he said with a deadpan face.
She dissolved into laughter and he joined her, leaning against her a little.
