Prompt: September 1st, Tsunade & Haruno Sakura, when the cat's away.
A/N: I didn't use this prompt in-text because of wordcount restrains, but I interpreted it as this all happening behind Shizune's back.

Sakura blanched when Tsunade ordered another bottle. She only had herself to blame for agreeing to a drinking contest with the Godaime, but she still slurred, “Ar-,” a hiccup; “are you trying to kill me?”

“Am I?” her shishiou asked, swirling the sake in her cup. She was just shy of tipsy, while Sakura had trouble keeping her head up. “Hey, at least you have the day off tomorrow!” said she unhelpfully.

Sakura didn’t want to think about tomorrow. She said as much and Tsunade laughed her off. “You’ll survive. You’re my protége, aren’t you?”

Despite her state, Sakura smiled.
