Flicker (Gundam Iscariot [Original], Varuna & Mitra)
Title: Flicker
Fandom: Gundam Iscariot (Original Gundam-Inspired 'Verse)
Pairing/Characters: Mitra Lucero & Varuna Lucero
Rating: Not Rated
Content Notes: CNTW, Lucerocest if you squint
Prompt: 2 & 6, lightning & thunder
I actually did randomize my list after making it and still somehow got this one for the two characters who've actually been to Earth and seen a storm. Ha!

"I thought I'd gotten used to rain," Mitra said as he joined his twin under the quilt that Varuna had huddled under.
"Me too," Varuna replied. He shivered, though it wasn't from the strange damp chill creeping into the cabin.
Thunder shook everything, as if on cue. Varuna supposed there had also been lightning. That would explain the shiver. Before he'd crawled under the quilt, he'd seen the lights flicker just a bit.
He had not liked that. It felt a little too personal. Scheduled outages were one thing, but the sheer amount of electricity in the sky was far too much.
Mitra was pressed against him a split-second later.
"I don't think I can get used to this."
Varuna closed his eyes.
"This is a thunderstorm. It's expected to pass within two hours, and until then we are under a warning and should also stay off the lake," he said, paraphrasing the alert he'd gotten just before the storm had gone from gentle rain to terrible onslaught.
"Two hours?" Mitra questioned.
"Would someone want to be on the lake in this? Or on any water?"
This time, Varuna saw the flash of lightning and could prepare for the thunder. There was that shiver again.
Best not tell Mitra. Not when, a moment later, the thunder came and he was pretty sure it would be better to just tug the quilt close and try to ignore everything-
-everything aside from each other.
