Leo paused, surprised, sure that he'd misheard the floating notes from the other side of a small garden in Hoshido's castle town. But no, the song was what he'd thought, pulled straight from a deep and distant memory.
"Leo?" Ryoma questioned, his hand on Leo's back.
"Ah..." He still wasn't quite used to this. "I know that song. But I don't know why."
Ryoma nodded and listened; if the performer had heard them, they'd been ignored.
"It's an old song. It's something both countries might still know," Ryoma finally said.
Leo nodded and smiled at Ryoma. Both countries.
Sounded good.
