Breakfast in Bed (ATEEZ, The Kingdom; Song Mingi / Yang Dongsik | Louis)
Title: Breakfast in Bed
Fandom: ATEEZ, The Kingdom
Pairing/Characters: Song Mingi / Yang Dongsik | Louis
Content Notes: N/A
Prompt: 9 September, what’s that noise?
Something woke Dongsik, and he lay still in the bed - an unfamiliar bed, actually - and tried to figure out what the noise was. Dishes clinked, and then... water ran? Like someone had done... he had no idea.
He ran his hand through his hair, not surprised to find it sticking up. He wasn't pretty in the morning, too many people had said that to him. He sat up to try to find his bag, and spotted it across the room, hanging on a hook just inside the door.
Handy. He'd have to maybe use that idea. It was a good one.
The door opened and someone stepped inside. He was tall, good looking, with a smile that made Dongsik smile back. Mingi, he'd said his name was, right?
"Hungry?" Mingi asked.
Dongsik remembered that low voice in his ear the night before. He shivered. "Yes, thank you," he said.
Mingi set the tray he carried over Dongsik's legs, and then sat next to him on the bed, leaning against the headboard. "Good. There's plenty more, if you want it."
Dongsik smiled at him and dug in, humming at the taste. "This is good," he said, smiling at Mingi. Mingi's relieved smile answered his, and Dongsik picked up the next bite and offered it to Mingi. Mingi looked at him, and then opened his mouth.
"That is good," he said when he'd swallowed. He produced his own chopsticks, and they made quick work of the breakfast. Mingi took the tray when Dongsik said he'd had enough and left the room, returning quickly enough that he hadn't taken care of the dishes.
"Thank you," Dongsik said when Mingi sat back down, although facing him instead of next to him.
"You're welcome," Mingi said. "I'm sorry. I had a call from work and I have to be in the office in about 45 minutes."
Dongsik stared at him. "Oh. Of course. Let me get...."
Mingi touched his arm, stopping him before he could get up, and handed him his phone. "Last night was fun. Up for another time?"
Dongsik hesitated, eyes going from phone to Mingi's face. "No pressure," Mingi said. "You can absolutely say no."
That settled it. Dongsik took the phone, put his number in, then sent himself a text and handed the phone back. "I'd like that," he said. "Let me get out of your way. Thank you for breakfast."
Mingi smiled. "You're welcome. I do hope to see you again," he said, and got up to let Dongsik leave.
It didn't take him long to get dressed, put himself sort of together, and leave with a wave at Mingi.
He might actually call. Someone who treated him like that, even for a one-night stand, was absolutely worth seeing again.
