It's Not a Shovel Talk (Transformers [G1], Thundercracker & Optimus Prime)
Title: It's Not a Shovel Talk
Fandom: Transformers [G1]
Pairing/Characters: Optimus Prime & Thundercracker
Content Notes: None
Prompt: September Twelve - 1 & 6 - "how did this happen?"
Thundercracker had half-hoped the Slag-Maker would keep Optimus Prime too busy for this meeting. He wondered what the priss-bot Elita-1 had relayed about the situation, and was already working up a little temper when the Autobot walked in — without Midnight.
"Look, it's her fault, how this all started!" Thundercracker said quickly.
"So I understand," Optimus said in that calm way he had, the tone he used when he was intent on being reasonable. "I did not come to give speeches, Thundercracker.
"I came to say thank you for helping us make peace."
The Seeker flat out stared at Optimus, as if he had turned into one of those tentacled nightmares Dirge and 'Warp had told him about at the space bridge.
"I… yeah, well things were slagged. Had to fly a new course."
The mech actually chuckled at that and Thundercracker wondered how this was even his existence.
"You and she have found one that may just save us all, Thundercracker." He inclined his head and started to leave, pausing at the doorway. "And…"
"Yeah?" Thundercracker blustered.
"I'll remind you her other creators are less rational about her safety."
Prime left, and Thundercracker out-cycled his vents.
"Don't I know it."
