Desdra's sharp tone made Alessan take in his richly woven tunic, his best pants, the boots he didn't use for riding or working.
"You said you had a presentation, so I thought you meant I needed to look like a Lord, not a farmer?"
He took in that she was in practical trousers, and a tunic meant to take a lot of grime.
"Lord Alessan, please go change into your working clothes, so you don't intimidate the very Holdless camp we mean to meet and convince to come into proper Holds," Desdra said, with patient firmness.
