Here are the prompts for no_true_pair's 2024 Eight-Character Challenge, along with the dates for posting!

There are no set minimums for works, and while no_true_pair has traditionally been fic/art, if you're inspired to work in another medium, go ahead! Works can be romantic or platonic or the space in-between. The prompts are for inspiration; you don't need to justify how you got from the prompt to the finished product and interpretation is up to you. You are welcome to swap numbers around on the "1 asks 2 about"-style prompts if it works better, etc. ^_^

AAAA I'm so excited to take a stab at these prompts. I've not got ideas for all of them, but I'm already typing up outlines for some of them. This is so much fun, I haven't written fic like this in such a long time.
I do have a question: Are there any rules against allowing the inclusion of other characters in the story? I've got a pretty fleshed out idea for September 4th's "it's dark and there's only one flashlight" but there's characters other than my 4 and 7 who appear during the beginning and end of the story, and are significant to the plot of my fic. My 4 and 7 are the focus of the story, but are other characters allowed to pop up too?

Nope! Create whatever you're inspired to create, and that includes adding in whatever and whoever you'd like.
