One in a Million (Indiana Jones/Mummy, Ardeth and Sallah)
Title: Informative Meeting
Fandom: Indiana Jones Series/The Mummy Series
Pairing/Characters: Ardeth Bay and Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir
Content Notes: None
Prompt: September 1 One in a Million
"I'm looking for an American," the tattooed warrior — he could be nothing but with that pistol and sword tucked inside the robes — told Sallah.
"Ahh, but one of a million of late it seems, all these tourists, yes?" Sallah asked grandly, reaching out and wrapping an arm around the stranger with a quick finger against his lips to warrant caution. The warrior caught on quick enough and amiably walked with Sallah to a more circumspect spot off the market square.
"Now, which specific American do you wish to find, my new friend?"
"Adventurer type, probably being offensively charming, stands this tall?"
"Until you got to the height, I thought you meant my own American friend, but would yours be in the company of a charming lady of British manners?"
"Oh if she has already found him, then we are in luck. He is best at handling her," the man said with relief. "Yes."
Sallah rattled off the last known whereabouts of the petite British woman. "Blessings upon your errand, friend," he added.
"Should there be explosions — "
"Oh, an American is involved, so I know to expect those. Now, I will go and be certain all of my children are home."
