Hey! How's everyone doing? I...well, I know I'm going to be taking full advantage of the amnesty days at the end of the month (and maybe on into May, heh heh). Because of other writing commitments, I didn't get a very good head start in March and some of these stories are getting a bit lengthier than expected now...

Because of yuri_challenge, a longfic idea that pounced on me in the last week of March, and various rl commitments that have seriously limited my most important activities internet time, I've written a lot less than I'd have liked so far. :(

HOWEVER, I'm planning to write at least one fic this weekend, and hopefully more after that. I just wish my brain would take to crossovers more easily - once I've got over the initial "OMG awesome!" stage it starts going "but how would that even work with timelines" and other such nonsense. But I'm determined to make use of some of these excellent prompts. Thank goodness for the amnesty period!

I decided to get ahead of the game when the prompts went up and tried to start a fic due in the first week. It was all going well, until I wondered if I'd bitten off more than I could chew, and whether there was an overabundance of dialogue and not enough actually happening. And then I started a new job after being unemployed for a year and it just got pushed right out of my mind.

Today I showed what I had so far to a friend, and ended up offering the beginnings to her to play with, because at least that way it might get worked on! ...I'm terrible XD

And because I get distracted easily with multiple WIPs and prompts I hadn't even looked at the other weeks, and now look where we are! :x

Well, so far I posted two stories. I finished a third one, but I had send it to my beta and I'm waiting on her to send me back the corrections. I got started on a fourth one, but not sure if I'll finish it yet because I'll be busy with real life stuff and I need to get started on other writing projects (like my two stories for help_japan). I have so many plot bunny ideas for my other prompts, but yeah don't think I'll get to them or else I'll burn myself out. D:

haha I'm feeling the same problem of prompts turning lengthier than planned. But it's a relief to know that amnesty posting can continue during the time before the next round. So many prompts have pinged me in this round. And there are a couple of prompts that've given me major plotbunnies for things that work 'in canon' and I want to put time into developing them.
