Title: Beyond Direction of Generals
Fandoms: Green Men & England World
Prompt characters: Sam Caldwell & Archie Curtis
Rating: General
Notes: 100 words. The title’s a riff on Randolph’s description of the first Great Summoning, in Spectred Isle.
Prompt: September 8 - Archie & Sam play a board game
“My word,” Sam said, smirking at the pieces left on the board. “You really are bad at this. How on earth did you get out of South Africa alive? We should see how you fare against Barney.”
Archie couldn’t help bristling. “I never claimed to be a strategist.”
“Much good they did most of us,” Max growled.
“He’s actually very good in the field, when lives are truly at stake,” Daniel very quietly said.
“Like that, is it?” Sam exchanged a speaking glance with Randolph. “An angel one might want to summon?”
Saul stared. Daniel glared. Archie moved a pawn.
