Title: By Campfire
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing/Characters: Roy Mustang & Alex Louis Armstrong
Rating: G
Content Notes: None.
Prompt: 28th March - Roy Mustang & Alex Louis Armstrong - by firelight.
“Did you light this yourself?” Alex Louis Armstrong asked.
Mustang shrugged. “Easy enough. …I barely needed to snap to make it.”
A few other soldiers drew near to the newest campfire to warm their hands and faces. They nodded or murmured their thanks to the Major.
Mustang leaned his head down against his clasped hands, as he had been posed until Armstrong spoke to him. Armstrong sat down alongside him, close enough that their shoulders touched (which wasn’t hard, considering his large size). “I thought I was falling for Kimblee until the other day when I was going to let a few Ishvalan women and children get away and he stopped me.”
“Kimblee?” Mustang responded. “Yeah, better get that out of your system quickly. We’re all nuts out here, but Kimblee is a whole ‘nother degree of crazy.”
“You’re, um, much nicer than him.”
Mustang chuckled, “That’s not hard.”
Armstrong put his arm around Mustang’s shoulders. “I like you too.”
“Not in the same way you were interested in Kimblee, I hope.”
Armstrong shook his head. “No,” he murmured quietly.
