Gah, Gilgamesh was so humourless; and Akstar would be annoyed as hell at his flat response -- just one of many -- but alas, he had more important things to do right now.
Like, for example, not plummeting to a swift and messy death.
Oh, sure, Gilgamesh would -- presumably -- keep a decent grip, but the man was aggravatingly hard to read at the best of times, which was also annoying, and Akstar hadn't been Beta Star without growing a healthy sense of caution.
So there wasn't much he could do but hang on.
Damn it.
