Nerilka tried not to think about the work being delayed by the heavy rains, even as she moved her stones to the next pits. Desdra contemplated, then looked at Nerilka's face.
"It means Thread will be less deadly when it falls, since this expected to last into tomorrow's flight."
Nerilka smiled, then nodded. "Alessan's infected me. We have so much to do, with so few bodies still. So many can only work for tiny spells of time, after all."
"It will get done," Desdra reassured. "Now sharpen your game, my friend, before I get to crow over beating a Fortian!"
