Prompt/challenge you're answering: 28 April - there's only one bed for 3 & 4

Lydia was in Allison's room, throwing clothes in her duffel bag in anticipation of their upcoming spring break trip. Allison didn’t bother protesting. She had asked Lydia to help her, after all.

"This is quickly turning into a couples retreat," Lydia bemoaned as she held a green top up to Allison’s chest.

"And whose fault is that? You're the one who invited Aiden," Allison pointed out.

“Okay but roller coasters are a two-person experience, so who was I going to ride with? Scott and Kira are going to be disgustingly cute and in their honeymoon phase, and Malia is super excited for her first ever trip to six flags - which means Stiles is going to be running around showing her everything.”

Lydia ditched the top on the bed and reached for a different one.

“What about me?” Allison asked, digging in her closet for a pair of tall black boots she liked to wear with skirts.

Lydia rolled her eyes and gave her a very pointed look.

“Oh, and you're not going to be flirting with Isaac the whole time?”

Allison pretended to consider Lydia’s proposition, but she already had. At least a few times already. “Hmm, that thought had crossed my mind.”

Lydia laughed. “See? I knew it.”

“Okay, but we aren't - it's not even a thing.” Allison shook her head and shrugged.

“Yet,” Lydia emphasized. “He is cute, though.”

“He's a werewolf,” Allison said with a touch of both irony and amusement. It wasn't like she tried to look for guys that would piss her dad off, but she couldn't deny that Isaac was attractive.

“Don't overthink it,” Lydia said as she grabbed a skirt and put it in Allison’s duffel. “It's not a marriage proposal, it's just spring break.”

Allison laughed. “You're right. Even if nothing happens between Isaac and I, it will still be fun.”

Lydia smirked but didn’t say anything else on the subject, which definitely should have been a sign that she was up to something.

---

When they all pulled up to the Airbnb in a caravan, Lydia was the first to hop out. She was the defacto party planner, and she’d picked out the place, so it made sense that she would be the one to direct traffic.

She claimed the front room and pushed Aiden gently inside. He, of course, had no objections. There was another room with a queen bed and bunk beds, which Lydia gave to Scott and Kira with a wink. They probably wouldn't need the bunk beds.

Stiles and Malia got the master bed, because as Lydia put it, they were the only official couple which meant they deserved it.

And that left one small room in the den.

“I think you and Isaac can have the den. There's plenty of space,” Lydia said to Allison. Isaac walked in the house right behind her, shouldering his own duffel bag.

Allison glanced over at Isaac before she answered. “That sounds fine to me.”

He met her gaze and smiled softly before nodding at her and heading down the short set of stairs to where they’d been assigned. They only had a few minutes to put their things down before they were heading out for the park.

Allison hadn't looked at the airbnb pictures. The whole downstairs was pretty open and spacious, with a pool table and a mini fridge, plus a big glass door that led to a patio outside.

She trusted Lydia to pick a place, and she hadn’t even given the sleeping arrangements much thought. But once her eyes landed in the corner of the room, she could see why Lydia had chosen the space for them.

There was only one big bed, with a big green comforter.

Isaac looked over at Allison. “You can have the bed. It's not a big deal to sleep on the floor. I've slept in worse places.”

His voice was neutral, but Allison still winced. She’d heard plenty of terrible things about the way Isaac grew up.

“Don't be ridiculous,” Allison said, feeling sympathetic. “I'm game if you are.”

“You sure? I think I saw a couch upstairs.” Isaac raised an eyebrow.

“I think Lydia set us up, but I'm not really complaining. Are you?”

His gaze flicked up her body. She might not have been a werewolf, but she could feel the pull between them. A thrill went up her spine.

“No reason to waste a perfectly good bed,” Isaac said with a shrug. He dropped his duffel bag on the right side of the bed and grinned at her.

Allison reached out to squeeze his hand.

“No pressure though,” she added softly. She wasn’t trying to be too forward, not if it was going to make him uncomfortable.

He squeezed her hand back. “I know.”

They headed back up the stairs, Isaac in the lead and taking the steps two at a time. She let herself enjoy the view, smiling to herself as she emerged in the living room to the sounds of everyone around her excitedly getting ready to leave. She couldn’t decide if she should be annoyed with Lydia or thanking her. Probably both.

At the very least, this spring break was going to be a memorable one.
