Rood knew Zeon was a 'treasure hunter'. His descendant -- best not to think on the means -- hardly concealed the fact.
So Rood tried not to think about that either, which was easy enough with so much chaos and battle to contend with --
But, now. Now was different; now was Zeon spreading a tattered map across the table and him -- of all people -- to come with him to plunder --
"So, whaddya say? I could use your memory."
Rood rubbed at his face. Zeon waited.
"Zeon, this is --"
"You might find some hints about her. Or him."
Oh.
Oh ...
"I ...
"Thank you."
