They had not often had to fight side by side, and never -- to this point -- on a moonless night.
Drizzt was going to have to portion some of his attention to knowing the tales of Alustriel's various spells that relied on the silverfire, he decided, if it happened again.
His eyes had slipped into the lesser darkvision, leaving him as vulnerable to her spell's peripheral effect as their attackers had been.
Fortunately, he was a talented fighter without sight.
"Just brighter than I expected," he reassured, willing the spots to go away, as they made sure the creatures were dead.
