Camp was in a rockshelter, this time; and, seen by firelight, Gilgamesh's armour looked even more alien, even as he carefully removed it while Lasswell stoked the fire.
Lasswell wanted to ask -- well. He wanted to ask everything, honestly, and the only thing stopping him was the tiny prickle of doubt over whether this Gilgamesh was his father's long-lost comrade-in-arms or not.
That, and timing. Timing and visions was tricky, and he had to be cautious ...
