Charic could have asked any other cleric in the villages Sharrevaliir had protected and led to do this. However, she was senior, and even if he had been her consort, she was not going to shirk this last duty.
She saw the body cleaned under a gentle repose spell, combing out the hair one last time. No beads, no clasps, no braids — only a simple long shroud to dress him in was needed.
When she had everything ready, her consort on the platform to be carried up, Charic led the procession to the highest tree, where Sharr found final rest.
