Rex's eyes got a little misty as he watched Fives patiently showing Leia how to clean a blaster, check it over, and reassemble it.
A week of biter duty, as they called keeping the twins, and Rex was still realizing just how marvelous a gift peace was, to let him and his chosen family have these moments.
"Bit young for that, hmm?" he said anyway, once he had the emotions under control.
"Figured it was better than teaching her how to handle a jetpack," Fives rejoined.
"Elek, let's keep them on the ground," Rex said.
"Thought so," Fives said, laughing.
