Claude knows he's not much of a cook. He's used to replicator food, which was filling enough but somehow never tasted as good as what he'd eaten on Expel.
Whenever he and Ashton took a rest at a place with a kitchen, he'd find himself there, trying to cook something for them both. Good steak wasn't easy to come by, but he could usually find minced meat and potatoes, so that he could make Ashton's favorite meal.
He hadn't gotten the hang of cooking hamburger patties to anything but well-done. But Ashton always eats them gratefully, with a big smile.
