Prompt: Sept 25 missing pieces
One of B'lerion's first things he did on transferring into Fort was find Leri, and cajole her and Holth down to the Lake. There, he made all the effort with the last batch of weyrlings and some of the hopeful Candidates to get the queen shining.
By portioning out sectors of the dragons, he was even able to keep them from being too close to one another.
"You've grown up," Leri said.
"Had to," he said gruffly, his arm still tender but usable. "Are you… alright now?"
"It was hard, her being gone. And now, she sleeps more and more," Leri admitted. "I should nap with her, be less aware of that half day without her in my mind."
"But then you'd miss everything?" he asked.
She laughed. "Keeps me going, yes." She rested a hand on his arm. "Don't fuss over an old woman. We're ready, when it comes."
