Psyche was not expecting to see Lancaster, of all people, when she opened the door.
She was definitely not expecting him to look as forlorn as he did.
"Is- Is Mick okay?" she asked quietly. It was the only reason she could think of for him to be standing there.
"Huh?" Lancaster blinked. "Oh, he's fine. As far as I know. Um, I actually came to see if you might have a couple adapters that I could borrow."
"Oh, oh okay. You kinda scared me," Psyche admitted. "Come in. Do you know what kind? I have a whole tote somewhere..."
"These." Lancaster held up his datapad. Pictures, good. Pictures were always good. And Sincere was in the pictures along with her cabling, and a set of thankfully-standard adapters. "I normally have them with me, or a set. I'm still not entirely used to Sincere being out and about, I suppose. And I set them down somewhere..."
"She's not on the wireless?" Psyche questioned. She was sure Sincere was doing well with her custom headset.
"It's apparently kind of exhausting," Lancaster replied. Psyche nodded. She could get how that could happen. It was likely a different sort of processing and while she wasn't modified like that, herself, she'd read enough and seen enough to know that most people who could be plugged in preferred it.
She didn't even need to go to the tote, though. Instead she just pulled open a desk drawer and rummaged for a moment.
"Do you need a spare stylus or like twelve?" she asked, before pulling out the adapters in question. "I cleaned and it was terrible."
"If you don't mind..."
Psyche grinned.
"Hang on just a moment."
Lancaster left with a bag filled with styluses, adapters, and two cans of soda.
And then she flopped back into her chair-
-and sent a quick message to her brother.
