Alustriel's lip curled up. "Oh?"
"She's banned from from the menagerie now."
Alustriel chuckled at him. "That was terrible."
"Blame Calimac; he insisted I learn how to tell jokes."
Alustriel considered. "Did you hear what the plate said to the other?"
Drizzt started grinning. "Do tell."
"Dinner's on me."
He laughed, and she joined him, before kissing his brow.
"I did figure out why the skeletons weren't fighting each other," he said when she sat back.
"Because they haven't any guts?" set them both to laughing again.
