Evie curled her hands around the back of Rick's neck, marveling at his soft look and the gentle hand on the swell of her stomach.

"We should approach this logically, and divide the tasks of raising our child," she began, watching the soft look take on a smile and playful spark.

"I teach guns, knives, explosions; you teach digging, thinking, and managing people?" Rick offered.

"Oh I thought we'd get Ardeth to teach that last; he's very good at it if there's not already a fight in progress," Evie said.

"And no Jonathan lessons."

"Until the child is old enough to drink," Evie agreed with that last. They both started laughing softly.

"You'll handle the girl things if it is one?" Rick asked, momentary panic in place.

"Just as I expect you to handle boy things if it is one," Evie agreed.

"Hey, we have a plan."

"So we do."
