Title: Reviewing His Reactions
Fandom: Victor Victoria / The Mummy Series
Pairing/Characters: Ardeth and Victor | Victoria
Content Notes: brief transphobia
Prompt: September 27 Oil & Water
Ardeth did not know what to make of the person that had arrived to acquire Toddy. He'd heard about Victor. He'd even heard about Victoria. He had not realized they were the same person, and it was … challenging his beliefs. On the one hand, the idea of such fluidity made him want to denounce it and back away, to reject it completely.
But the layer of knowing things were not as as straightforward in life as he wanted them to be floated on the layer that was the rituals of his people. He had accepted Toddy for what he was, had protected his sister's right not to marry, had walked a different road with his brother of his heart and the woman they both loved.
He needed to accept that sometimes this ally wore dresses, and others they walked and hit like a man.
It didn't need to be difficult.
