Title: Glimpses
Fandom: Transformers [Bay Movies]
Pairing/Characters: Mikaela Banes & Scion [OC]
Content Notes: None
Prompt: September Fifteen - 4 catches 7 doing something unexpected
Mikaela had not gone out of her way to see the sparklings or their guardian on their visit to Mars. Long since having become a true Autobot, the former human had given herself over to the cadre, keeping them sane as they kept working on Prime's dream of a unified species allied to the humans.
It was Prowl, still only allowed light duty, who nudged her to go at least see the pair. And when she did —
— she realized she had needed both the sight of the second-frame sparklings and their guardian who was allowing each to lean against him. Megatronus had put his back to Scion's hip, while Orion was actually resting on the other side, plastered to the Seeker's plates as Megatronus was telling the other two about his lessons of the day.
She never would have suspected the Decepticon, protegé of Megatron himself, and coached to be as much like Starscream as possible would be that openly nurturing, as the trio were in one of the crystal gardens that was slowly developing under Cybertronian assistance.
She kept her fields tightly to herself and came to where she could be seen and heard, causing three sets of optics to turn her way.
"I am Mikaela," she said, helm tipped up in a defensive posture, and she knew it. "I wanted to be certain the three of you have all you need or want while you are here."
"Braver than most of your cohort," Scion said with a sniff. "They have left our comforts to the Prime's cohort."
"It's difficult," Mikaela said, wondering if that was why Prowl had insisted, because she was their newest link.
"We have everything we desire," Scion said, a tone of dismissal present. She inclined her head, going, with one last look at Orion.
