Prompt/challenge you're answering: 1 won a free vacation and so did 3 but wait, it's together?!
Dinah maneuvered to her seat on the plane, and wondered at a familiar face there.
"It seems we get to share a row, sir," she said in her airiest tone. "Laurel Drake."
Her eyes were shining as he looked up at her, and managed to keep his recognition out of his voice. "Richard Johns," he answered by way of introduction. "Going to La Bonita?"
"All expense paid vacation, ordered by my boss," she said cheerfully as she settled in the seat.
"How very interesting, Miss Drake," he said, amusement dancing in his eyes. "I seem to be in the exact same situation!"
"It's nice to work in a place that actually cares, hmm?" she questioned, wondering if this was Bruce, Babs, or Tim are work on making them both relax. Sending them together meant either they'd have a case land on them, or whoever set it in motion wanted them able to watch over each other.
"Care to see the sights with a stranger, Miss Drake?" Richard asked her with a rakish tone.
"Oh, I think that might be a nice switch for my life," she said with a pretty smile for him. "Enjoy the scenery and the company with a perfect stranger?"
He laughed a little. "I know. All too often those strangers passing through my life just seem to want to cause pain."
She joined his laughter, settling in to enjoy herself. They would take whatever came their way… and share the story with Roy and Slade after.
